Feed The Resistance: Duke’s Mayo…and Beer!

I was on vacation a couple weeks ago, visiting friends in Charlottesville, Virginia, and I went into my favorite Charlottesville Brewery – Champion Brewing Company.  When I lived in Charlottesville, that’s where me and my friends hung out, mainly for the good beer, but also because Champion hosts a run club every Wednesday night.  So, we would all go for a run, and then sit around after the run and drink good beer.  When I was at Champion a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a new beer on the menu – a collaboration between Champion and Duke’s Mayo called “Family Recipe.”

Also, while on vacation, I was in the local grocery store and saw a pre-packaged Pimento Cheese with fake crab-meat in it.  So, this morning I cracked open one of those Family Recipe beers, and paired it with my own Pimento Cheese (made with Duke’s Mayo) – and I added a little fake crab-meat to the cheese, to make it just like what I saw in the grocery store in Charlottesville.
