Feed The Resistance: Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival!

The Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival is happening at Angell Park in Sun Prairie, through Sunday!  In honor of that, I wanted to make something with Sweet Corn.  I found a recipe for a chilled “Creamy Corn Chowder” and gave it a try.  Quite frankly, I wasn’t real happy with it – overall, it tasted kind of bland.  BLAND…until Dee paired it with a beer.  The beer she chose was Little Kings Cream Ale, and as usual, she nailed it.  The beer brought out some of the subtle flavors that I wasn’t getting from the chowder before, and now, paired with the beer, I really liked it!
